Chris,

Thanks for posting your self-portrait. It is beautiful and you could have used it on your brochure! Though I understand and agree with Mike McCarty's post about never being satisified with your self-portrait. That is why I haven't attempted one yet!

Keep up the great work.

Beautiful!

Your portraits are a delight for the eye!

I especially liked the way you are standing in the first one.

In the second, I loved the way you used the warm colors in the hair and the wood in the second portrait and, I especially loved that little mischievous look!

I'll have to get your book!

Thanks for showing us your work,

 Hi Chris,

If I looked like you, I'd do self portraits all the time. All kidding aside. They are fresh and free and beautiful.

Beautiful work. I especially like the second one (not to put down the standing one), it has a feel of freshness and openess, but doesn't have the look of being unfinished or a sketch. It looks like everything was done just right. I apologize if it's been mentioned before, you name the paper and was wondering which brands of pastel you use. I've only been using pastels for a year, and haven't sampled much material. I'm currently using Wallis for bigger work, and Canson for smaller work. The pastels I use are Nupastels, Rembrandt, and Schmincke. Thanks.
