Kim, This entire portrait is very, very beautiful. The nose is wonderful. That may sound weird, but I always appreciate well painted noses, beacause I struggle with them so!

Kim,
it's a beautiful work! This red line around the neck make me think to Vermeer. And I enjoyed discover the foot in the shadow!

You're getting better and better Kim and you're achieving your goal of transmitting feelings through your work.
Congrats on such achievement, that's a really beautiful work.

Lovely Kim! I've got to say I love that little foot peeking out there. :)

Yes! I found the foot right away, I love toes. He looks like a little stinker. Kim, you just keep blowing me away.

Thank you so much for all the nice comments!

Speaking of him being a litte stinker - he actually is a sweetheart. We did two photo shoots and when we would begin, he couldnt stop himself from at least 10 minutes of making faces, sticking out his tongue, etc. He and I - we struck a deal. I told him I'd give him some of the funny face photos if he'd sit still and give me a handsome smile. The poor Mom was hovering all nervous trying to rush him. I finally kicked her out and he and I had a face-making competition for a few minutes. Im pretty sure I won. :o

Im afraid my close-ups werent as clear as they should be, but here is one of the hand.

Look out! She's on a roll...

Kim,

Your painting is not just beautifully done, but you seem to have mastered the skill on how to interact with a client (especially a little one) as well. It is not an easy task to get "that look" that once paired with the artist's skills, create a portrait that captures the soul.

Very nicely done...Congratulations!

What can I say except thanks. And thanks for the close-up of the hand. You go girl!
