Thanks Heidi! I don't know what to say...usurping your mother! I definitely won't tell her. I'll keep it secret. ...No fury like a woman's scorn ;) . I think my feelings about still life paintings will change once I'm in my new studio because then I won't be forced to do them. I'm a bit of a brat so when I am forced to do anything I react a bit negatively. :)

Jonathan, your work is truly incredible. It would be incredible for anyone at any age and one who's been drawing and painting for all of their life. However, to see your work as someone only 26 and doing this for only 3 1/2 years and strictly from life is amazing to say the least. I think I'm now writing this response to an artistic genius. Thanks for coming on board and sharing with us. Quite inspiring indeed.

Thanks so much for your kind words Geary! I definitely don't think I could be called a genius! I'm too stupid to be a genius I think, just ask my wife hehehe...she could definitely confirm that. I really appreciate the warm welcome. I have learned so much from all of you already (I browsed the site so much before becoming a member). I can only hope to give back some of that help if I'm able. Thanks again!

Jonathan,

Beautiful sensitive work, especially in one so young. Welcome.

I am also a devotee of painting from life.

I am glad to see someone of your ability participating on the Forum.

Hi Jonathan,

Your paintings and drawings are most inspiring. I read your "Journey" thread a few weeks ago. It was so fascinating, thanks for documenting and sharing your time in the atelier.

Donna
