Allan,
Amongst the roses she appears to be the most brilliant and the love really shines in her eyes. I, too, enjoy studying it.

Very lovely work, Allan.

Thank you, Chris, Patty and Thomasin,

I am happy that you like the portrait of my vife, I really meant it to be lovely, she deserve it.

Allan,

I am a bit late in joining the chorus of praise here.
Another sensitive, personal and strong piece in your inimitable fashion. I am sure she was very pleased. I admire very much how you simplify elements by your use of colour and still manage to convey much information.

Congratulations!

Gracias, Carlos,

I do believe she likes it, because she said so.......... she is so terrible honest ;)

Yes, I try to make the brushmarks look painted, there's plenty of room for variations using different brushes and knife plus thinned and pastose paint, enough to emulate various textures.

Just beautiful. I love your lively brushstrokes, masterfully done.
The picture is so well balanced in composition, colours, your portrayal of the background.
Great your wife was thrilled!

Thank you, Margaret,
I did another small portrait of Aud while I was on the run.
30 x 40 cm oil on linen.

That's just superb, full of light and atmosphere. What beautiful use of colour, I would love to paint like that!

Another absolutely beautiful one, Allan! I can just feel the sun on her face and the air around her. I love the strokes that describe the scene in the background. She's really in the landscape.

Allan!!!(wait...let me just pick up my mouth from the floor...)

Seriously....this is something else... I will be looking at this many times over.
