Hey, thanks, guys! I just saw it a couple of days ago myself. First, before you run out to Border's, Garth, I think it only appears online! They sent me something with a questionnaire, and it said that they would be featuring all the finalists in the different categories, at least I think that is what they are doing.

I'm sorry to say the image is really, really bad!! I will post a better one.

Kim, Janet, Mike, and Louise--thank you all! It really has been quite a month. I keep pinching myself.

Mike, you know when I was answering the questionnaire I thought a lot about all the artists I love, and who influenced me profoundly, but then I realized it was my parents and their attutude toward their work that influenced me the most. It makes me realize how important it is to encourage our children to develop their talents and be what they want to be.

I love those blue notes in the dress (and the whole color scheme).

Julie, thank you so much. Actually I'm a little disappointed about the way the dress looks in the image. I set the dress up in my studio to paint from, and I tried hard to replicate the color and suggestion of detail, but it didn't transate too well from painting to slide to scanned image. A lot of the detail was lost and I'm not sure about the color either. I'm relieved it looks okay to someone who has not seen the painting.
