Ciao from a new italian member in London
 

Hi to everyone,

I am thrilled to be in, too.

I am Italian, 36 years old, I live in London since 5 years with husband ,dog and three sons. I have been drawing and painting portraits in the last 15 years, juggling with my family tasks.

I work in oils, luckily commissions just come in by word of mouth and I never find myself jobless. I paint almost only children, but to quiet my conscience over the use of photographic reference, I take part in an open studio program at an art school. It's my life- painting gym! Here are a couple of samples of my work, two twins I painted last year.

I am delighted to have found this site and already got some very useful pieces of information.

P.S. I hope my spelling will be good enough for you guys.

Welcome to the Forum! It is nice to have your participation. I have been here a little over a month, and have greatly benefitted from the camaraderie and community here. I believe you will too. I like the fact that there are currently several active members from Europe and around the world.

I like your paintings very much. Your bold brushwork and clean simple execution, are like a breath of fresh air here. I would like to see more of your portraits.

Garth, I did check out your work before posting and really enjoied it.
I have so much to learn from everyone. I am working on my homepage, a bit of a rookie in site building; it's not finished but please come and have a look, up to now my mother's the only one who left a comment.

I will post soon three portraits of brothers I have been working on in the last couple of months.
