My drawing ability exposed.
 

The picture of the girl was drawn from an actual live model. The drawing of my late grandfather was done from a photograph. He died in 1985.

A quick critique to your drawings. The first thing that (doesn't) jumps out is the lack of value range in these portraits, particularly the one of the girl. Squint your eyes, and you will see very little contrast and/or tonal range. I think deepening your values will improve your work dramatically. Also, check the hand on your grandfather's portrait; it appears too small. Hope these tips help.
