Just to introduce my work

Oil, 45cm x 62cm. It`s called Midas Touch, a little tribute to my wife who is a very successful person and has that kind of gift that turns anything she touches into something better. She is my model, of course.

Kind regards,

Ant

Thank you.
A couple of weeks ago I won the grand prize of our local Annual Art Competition with this work, which was done in the end of 2003. In this picture you can see my wife and model, myself and some organizers with the painting in the moment of the awarding.

Cheers,

Ant

It is a very striking and unusual image, as well as very beautiful.

Very captivating! Is that a tear on her face? If so, what is the significance?

Hey David. Nice to see you on this forum. Nice to be here. Thank you.

Mike,
I am not sure if you really mean it, but I am architect, so is my wife, and we are involved in designing houses, etc. However, lately I have been working more in the backstage, while my wife is in the front. Meanwhile, I paint my portraits. And I am more and more involved in my art.

Sharon, thank you...

and Cynthia, first of all, congratulations on the design of the superb Daniel Greene website. I enjoyed every part of it. Second, yes, that's a tear on her face - see detail bellow. It means, poetically and definitely, that being Midas is not a big deal. She wanted that rose to be natural and perfumed, but it turned to gold instead. That's the reason why she beautifully... cries.

Ant, How beautiful, both your painting and story. I look forward to seeing more of your work and comments on the forum.

Jean
