Scanning newsprint
I know this is probably a bit crazy but I have been trying to "scan news articles about my shows ,etc. and later I will use them on my web site.
So far, no matter what I do it will not be readable. I realize there are probably various programs out there to do this but can anyone tell me a simple, simple way to do that? To make it not so broken up in the print. I see all the dots int he paper. I would deeply appreciate a reply to this although this part of the Forum has not been used as much. Cynthia, if you are looking in and I am sure you are, I know you posted an article about me when I was working on the 9-11 portrait. Maybe you can let me know (in very easy layman language) how I can do that. Thanks much Patt |
Patt,
My scanning software has a descreening option. Check for an option like this. The other thing is to scan it very large and then size it down and you shouldn't see the dots. Cynthia |
Thanks Cynthia, I will see what I can do.
You make all of this seem so easy. I hope I know how to make it larger. I am probably going about it the long way (as my son would say) to get results. I usually scan, save as, and then go into where I have saved it and try to tweak any photos, etc. that I have scanned. I shall give it a whirl. Much thanks Patt |
You make it larger in the scan by increasing the dpi. Save that and then size it down to what you want and the dots should disappear.
