Well I agree about the cutesy aspect but not the commercial. But then I think we have a different idea of commercial in europe than the USA.
I don't think cutesy is really popular here. The one small child portrait I remember from the recent http://www.therp.co.uk/ exhibition had a very sullen look on his face. I really like it :thumbsup: Carolyn |

Nice portrait. There is an emotional depth there that I try to achieve in my own. One thought though. I assume that it is the photograph rather than the painting, but I'll point it out just in case. The highlights in the eyes seem too distant in value two work correctly. Would you agree that the highlight on the right eye can be brightened a little? Good luck with your work. Anthony |
