Hey, thought I might contribute to this section. These are 2-3 hour sketches from my local portrait society open studio.

Oil on canvas panels assorted sizes.

Peace, Dave

ooo - I like that last one - great color!

oops - you posted 2 more when I was typing. (It's the lady with the orange wrap on her head I like especially).

Hi Dave,

What a treat to see these! I also like the one of the woman with the orange head scarf especially, because of the quality of the light and something about her face, but in all of them their individuality really comes across.

Kim, Alex,

Kristina is the woman with the red turban, she is my favorate model. She modeled for me in my studio a couple weeks before she modeled for the TSOPA so I had a good feel for her before I did the portrait. It's pretty small at 8"x10" but I like it just the way it came out. I have a couple figures I'm working on of her, one is in the WIP section as an experimental piece. She has such an interesting way of moving that I find infinitely interesting.

I work much more freely from life, and I think from now on I will limit the amount of work I do from photos and try to spend my money on live sessions. I have enough photo referance to keep busy 'til I move back to Phoenix and then some.

I like the last one in the second post too.

Thanks for looking.

Peace, Dave
