Charcoal and Conte' Crayon

1 Attachment(s)
One of the assignments of a photography course I was involved in was to take black and white photos of things we found most appealing. While strolling around a local gardens area with my camera I came across this lovely, young woman. Fortunately, she agreed to pose for me 'for future artist purposes' and I came away with some great shots of her. This is the result of my attempt to capture her likeness on paper.

21" x 27", charcoal and white conte' crayon on toned paper.

Thanks for taking time to look.

Real nice work Pat. You have captured the flow of light and it gives your drawing vibrants.

Visited your page, your work is real good.

Best wishes,
mischa

I like this, Pat. The value transitions work very well. I especially love the way you've drawn the shoulders, neck and upper chest. The composition is appealing and well balanced, too.

I enjoyed visiting both of your websites and I must admit that I found myself making impressive sounds while there. Thank you, Mischa, for taking a peek at my little webpage and for the kind remarks, both you and Alexandra.
