I own several great new DVDs by portrait artists, but this blew my mind. David Kassan sent me an email asking me to include this promotional trailer in my blog. I was dying to buy the DVD when I saw the trailer, but it's not available yet.

This DVD looks well done in its visuals and oh for the pleasure to have such great models to work with. I was fortunate to do a week workshop with David a few years ago where I certainly enjoyed his commonality and portrait advice.

Workshops are fine to a point, I would have preferred to have spent this valuable time listening, watching and learning while he worked solely instead of fumbling my way through on my own creation with limited commentary regarding my own work (disaster).

The DVD has been released, and I've ordered it. I was supposed to get an email alert when it was available. Maybe I just didn't check my mail closely enough.

In other news: Scott Burdick and Susan Lyon have started selling downloadable videos for a fraction of the cost of DVDs. I bought one last night. Pretty good value for $24.95
