Holly

This is Holly. 40 x 40 oil on linen. This is a new one and it's kind of warm. I dont think it looks this warm in person though. If you like it let me know and if you dont like it let me know too ( and the reasons for your feelings). Thanks for looking.

I like it because it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I don't really know why, but I think it has something to do with those pillows.

Very nice.

It's a very nice work, I think it is appealing because of its intimate feeling.

Mark, excellent composition! I can honestly say that I like what you have done. There are a few things that draw attention but maybe this is not the place or time to say anything?

I liked it very much, it reminds me of Pino Dangelico's work, I hope you take it as a compliment.

Hi Mark,

This has a lovely softness and the warm colors are inviting. It makes me think of walking through a door on a cold, snowy day, into an interior filled with lamplight and the warmth of a fire. You realy captured that feeling well. I also like the way you used diagonals. Very nice!

Mark, I know you asked for comments both good and bad, and we can move this into the Critiques section if you like--but for now, thanks, Mischa (and everyone) for saving me from reminding you about not critiquing.

Yes I do take it as a compliment because I respect his work very much as I do yours. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Mischa,
Thank you for your encouraging words. I really appreciate it. I would be interested in your additional comments, and because this is not a critique section, I hope you will email me when you get a chance.

Alexandra,
I love what you had to say. Thanks for your creative words. I have a history of painting very cool paintings. I love blues. So going this warm was an interesting experience and I enjoyed it so much that I may stray from cool works for awhile.
