Oh, Allan, it is wonderful! You did such a great job with the lighting on the faces. Not only that, they look lit from within, truly radiant and happy. I hope they will love it and that it will lead to many great things in your artistic future.

Allan, I looked at those head closeups for a long time - you have such a beautiful, painterly technique here, with such intelligently managed planes and color changes in the shadows. I love the cool greys in the ears, the liquidity of the eyes and the spots of color in the hair. You've done a lovely job in a difficult light situation. Nice work!

Allan,
the extra time spent on the painting was well worth it and I wish you the best of luck in landing those future commissions from the royal couple!

Allan,
you worked hard on this one, but it worth the effort ! You managed to give unity to those very different references. They look very romantic in your painting too.
What a nice idea to send them such a present!

Grethe, Alex,Linda, Enzie, Marina and Mischa, thank you all,
this has been a true puzzle and you have all helped me by suggesting things. Marina send me a picture of Alexandra in a French Magazine, with a perfectly lit nose. I is'nt easy to play Frankenstein.
The painting is framed, packed and shipped of to the wedding at Jomfruens Egede, and I will try not to expect too much, Mischa.
