The extended family

Hi, I have just finished this portrait. The family, who commissioned the portrait, wanted not only their daughters but also all their pets in the portrait. It is 35 x 47 inches, painted with oil on canvas. They were very happy with it. It was quite difficult to get the composition just right, but I have a good feeling about it now.

That's a lovely painting. My favorite of yours so far.

Bianca, this is such an imaginative portrait. I really like the colors and the arrangement of figures. I also like the ambiguity of the horse (is he outside, seen through a window, or is he in a painting, or is he in front of the window or painting, inside the room?) because its presence adds a playfulness to the composition.
