Full length portrait

Hello,

I've been taking all the good advise from this forum to heart and have begun to paint some proper sample portraits. Last month I planned out several portraits with sketches and color studies before I even took one reference photo. This step really helped me a lot and I knew what I was aiming for when I went to take photos. I had a few models lined up and got some really good reference photos.

This portrait is one of the results. It is intended to be my first sample of a classic full length portrait for my portfolio. I changed my palette a little and am much happier with these skin tones. I also used the scumbling method of painting for the first time and now I'm hooked on it!

Thank you for looking,
Julie
