The only support I ever get is from the online art forums. Unfortunately, I'm just like you. I don't have any support or encouragement from my family and friends. My friends blame me for not going out and spending time with them. They hate me because I won't draw them for free. Geez... nobody respects an artist and everyone wants a free portrait! My parents.... well, you know what typical Chinese parents are like. When I was a kid, they used to tell me " You'll be starving to death before you get famous, get a real job! ". So yeah, my Mum wants me to be a successful business woman, my Dad wants me to be an engineer, or a doctor, I want to be an artist. The only reason I get to draw and paint as much as I want now is because I'm in Australia completing my business degree, and they are in Hong Kong. I'm all by myself here, so they don't have a clue what I've been doing all these years. The truth is, I've been spending the time on art at the expense of my school grades. I'm getting really bad grades, even failed a few subjects. Now I'll have to extend another semester to make up the credit points. My Dad would shoot me if he finds out. Not only I'm "wasting" my time, I'm ruining his "investment", wasting his money! Lots of hard earned money. But he will find out soon because I can't pay the extra tuition fees. He'll have to pay. I'm in real trouble. maybe that's exactly what I deserve.

Anyway, Thanks a lot for the encourgement, Marcus! Don't worry. Despite my current situation, I don't regret it. I refuse to give it all up, coz I love it too much .
