I vote for numbers 4 & 5. Personally, I think you should do two separate portraits. That way in the future they can each have their own. I like the cropping in # 5 the way it is. I would crop #4 so the heads in both are the same size. I would do this even if they only pay for one painting. This will get you tons of work. Do both even if they decide on drawings. Well done. Nothing like a good lens to make someone feel like an accomplished photographer.
