Hi Lon,

They're all good, but I especially like the second one. 'Melody'. I think such an expression can only be achieved by a very direct and fast technique. Otherwise it would get frozen. thanks for sharing!

Lon,

That's the word I was looking for---"essence"

I have been looking and looking at these. I wanted a word to express how much I admired your work. Here and on your site. But couldn't find the right word.

Your portraits capture the essence of the sitter. Of the human existence. Not static. The human essence. Good word. Great work.

I'm really impressed. I'm sure it would take me more than 10 minutes to trace one of these drawings. Hopefully one day my eye will be trained that well.
