Marina, well done! I love the composition and the technical execution as well. Stil the composition and subject are what apeal to me most.

Alex,
I kept the drapery volontarily simple. I could have work it much more, going into smaller and smaller shapes, but I wanted to keep the focal point on the face. Thank you.

that's something I thought recenttly : If you look at the past centuries, there are so many babies represented in paintings : Jesus as a baby, angels, cherubs, cupids, allegories of something, young princes and princesses... When I looked at contemporary paintings, I was wondering why there is so few babies ( and when you find some they usually look like poor photographies)
That's a bit strange when you think about the important place of babies in our society...
