Hi Peggi,

I really like the interesting way you've changed your Oma's face compared to the photo. Your portrait is much more immediate, with interesting angles/planes. It feels fresh, like you painted with her sitting there. It's clear that you are comfortable with portraying her face, sinceyou can do slight distortions that add to rather than distract from the character being portrayed. I like the radiating lines of the composition that you've added in.

The only thing I'd consider is possibly darkening the background slightly in the lighter areas to our right, at her left shoulder. If you put your finger over that one lighter blotch, you may decide that a darker value may help pull that area backwards in space more.
