I'm getting bolder!

I was in Florida last week on vacation and we were eating in a small local rib joint when I saw this little girl. I got that rush of -- "I just have to do a drawing of her!" But I am sooo timid when it comes to approaching a total stranger. And to ask to take photographs of his daughter to boot. But I thought about Mike, and the great shots he seems to get of strangers WHEREVER he goes, and all the advice we get here from the pros to "act it until you are it!"

I introduced myself with a handshake and told him I was a portrait artist and I handed him my card. Then I told him how beautiful his daughter was and how I would love to photograph her for a potential study. Would he mind? He was a bit reticent but flattered and let me take these shots. I got his email address and promised to email the images to him.

Now, what should I do next, Mike? Or anyone? I would love to do a drawing of her and use it in my portfolio...
