It amazes me how distinctive (and I suppose, instinctive) the style of certain artists can be. If I was shown this closeup of the hands I would immediately know it was "a Saper".

Many thanks.

I have really come to love painting teenagers of all ages. At 13 ( as in this painting) she is the last of 'child', and the beginning of the woman she will be. At 17 or 18, she wil be mostly woman, with still part of child.

Chris, that's a lovely painting of your daughter; she looks so mature to be only about to be bat mitzvah, though! Is she really that sophisticated?

I did a line drawing - from life - of my son for his bar mitzvah and used it on the invitations and thank you cards. When it was our daughter's turn she decided she'd rather have a horse.
