You are all being extremely kind, and thank you all for not teasing me about copying the Polish Rider.

Allan, technically the hat in that painting is not a Stetson, it is just a plain old flat-brimmed lady's straw hat. A true Stetson is quite distinctive, made in Texas and has a big dent down the middle. I can no longer wear a hat myself because my head has gotten too big for one.

Excellent Linda! What great exposure for you. A well written article, but it is a shame the photos could't be in color. Even in monochrome, they are still lovely. Oh, and I have seen your head - it is tiny as is the rest of you!
