Kim, she seems like a trapped bad girl with a slightly incongruous facial expression. The more I look at it the more interesting this painting becomes. I also love the composition and the yellow/black/white color scheme.

You continue to amaze me!

Hi Kim, I was waiting to comment on this, hoping you might get a photo that reflected the colors a little better. . . I bet that deep purple is really lovely. Wanted to say though, how well you've captured that sort of guilty but defiant look. . . . sort of ambiguous as to whether there might be some repentance there but certainly an unwillingness to admit any. Very potent stuff.

Mark- what a great compliment! I will take 'jaw-dropping' anyday.

I apologize for the quality of the photo. I did have it scanned and it looked wonderful on their Mac. I got it home and it still looks blown out in the gown...but I will post the new version anyways.
