Paper and pencil




Mike,

Thanks. I usually end up using the whole range(9H-9B). I start sketching with a 5H or 2H depending how dark the paper is, until I reach proper proportions and likeness. Then something in between like a H or F to refine details. Most of the drawing is done within the 2H-4B range with the other pencils used for accents. I prefer the woodless pencils, but I've only found them in the even number B's. (If they're made in the full range, someone please let me know) Lastly, I use Nupastel white for the highlights.

This particular piece was done on Canson paper which are available with the 'speckled' texture.
