I have created a DVD on drawing, but I have not published it anywhere. It is 4 camera, split screen, really cool. I too am a big fan of DVD instruction and plan on using it a lot in the future.

For about $20, you can get videos converted to DVD. Here is one firm that does this. Due to copyright restrictions, you have to swear on a collector's edition of Lord of the Rings that the DVD is being made for your own convenience and use, and not for resale or republication, and this firm will make only ONE copy. (Some other outfits refuse to deal with any copyrighted materials.) But this gives you the DVD format you wanted, with the ability to have it indexed for quick access to sections, and a video to do with as you please. Be creative (but keep it legal).
