Wow
This is wonderful. Beautiful painting. Words can't really express the affect this painting has on me. It has a strong religious feel - as if in viewing these men, you are standing on holy ground. Am I correct in assuming that the maze pattern behind them is a street map?

Thanks! You're right... it is the city map of Paris. The religious feeling comes from the fact that this picture was made with a quite anti commercial attitude and was started long before the events of 9/11.

Fascinating painting. Who was it made for?
Would you like critiques on the likenesses? Some of the faces/head shapes seem distorted but I wasn't sure if the painting was meant to represent certain individuals, or rather various "types" and "characters".

They are all real individuals, so the likeness is quite respected. The picture was made for myself.

Impressive!
I must tell you, Sergio, that I am quite impressed with the serious amount of complex detail and you have rendered in this painting! Thank you for sharing your progress. It is always so inspiring to see such wonderful work from such a dedicated artist. Bravo!

Sergio, this is an amazing painting. I agree with the other comments about its religious feeling. I especially like the decisions you've made about patterns and motifs, they have a powerful, mesmerizing repetitive effect. Congratulations!
