Hi Chuck - how exciting!

We lived in St. Louis (well, U. City) from '91 until '96. What a change that'll be from California! The winters there can be like a roller coaster, 3 days really mild then 3 days REALLY cold-- there was one spell when we lived there where it was so cold that they said on the news you could take a fresh cup of tea outside and toss it in the air and it'd all be ice before it hit the ground... course I tried it, and it was true!

Hope you love it there!

Hi Chuck,

Congrats on the move. I'm a firm believer in fresh starts in new places. I must, because I have moved 25 times and have lived in 5 different states since my college days. HA!

Speaking of which, I'm moving BACK to California in FIVE weeks!

Take care and I hope you find everything within the first TWO boxes when looking for your stuff!

Thanks for all your good wishes. It is a big change; on my first day here the high temperature was 22 degrees F (-5 C) with a stiff breeze. I had always thought of scarves and gloves as fashion accessories, but am finding out they are necessities of life. However, two days later it had warmed to 54 F.

Linda, the last email I remember getting from you was in September, regarding the painting of the young woman with the motorcycle. I thought I had replied to it. If there was any later email, I must have missed it.
