John, I'm amazed at how much your work continues to grow and improve. Your progress is really inspiring. It is a function of your desire and work ethic.

I'm very impressed by the way you've handled the white dress, which can be quite tricky, and the flowers. I can't believe how far your work has come since I first saw your painting of John Lennon less than two years ago.

Keep up the good work.

Jihn, I like this very much, especially the white dress-against-white background composition. You've also done a nice job with facial expression, congratulations!

Marvin, thank you so much. It is because of your words and teaching that have brought me thus far. I can appreciate your efforts to teach and hope that any success I have will add praise to your talents as a teacher and an artist.

I know that I have more to accomplish and am endeavoring to reach those goals.

Thanks again for your help and encouragement.

Thank you, Linda. I wasn't sure how the white on white would go over. I liked it although it bothered me that I would open myself up to critism that the painting was Norman Rockwell-ish. I actually had a comment like that and it wasn't meant as a complement.

I hope I can post one more before the show in May. Currently I am working on 2 dog and 1 dog with owner portraits. I don't think it is permissablee to post dog portraits and I won't be able to start photography on the owner with her pet until spring. But I will keep watching the SOG website.
