It does sound like a worthy cause to work for. But as Mischa highlighted very important points about the matter, i reckon we should write to him personally and see how he feels about it.

But above all, i'm interested to participate in this commemorative project

I have never done this before but I volunteered anyway. I have e-mailed Rudy and have received a mail with a short beefing of the concept.

I am really excited on to which reference I will get. It could be anything, but I am going to do my best, no matter what.

So I better find my brushes ......... they should be somewhere in the house........... I guess.

Even though I have participated in many fund raising events, by donating art work, I have never done a portrait for such a cause. I have also offered my services as, but have not heard back as of yet.

I thought I would update what I learned from Rudy and The Fallen Hero project.

I emailed Rudy to ask for an update a few weeks ago. He gave me an update and I thought he was going to update the forum but I don't see it. Since its been a couple of weeks I think I'll go ahead and tell you what I know.

Things are progressing. An office is being set up to handle the necessary administration and sponsors are being sought to subsidize the costs of supplies and shipping. I got the impression that getting the office set up and staffed would be the high hurdle but he is ever-hopeful.

A project of such magnitude takes time. The setting up of the office is an major step, to many steps to come in my point of view. We should be glad to be able to be a part of this monumental, and meaningful work for the fallen patriots of America.
