ha. I ended up in a medical/legal bru-ha-ha not of my own choice where I was Googled. Again, a very singular name. Please note that what you say online can be interpreted in any number of ways according to the interpreter. Hubris, hyperbole, they can all be skewed. Be very careful.

Janet, what does that mean? I am sorry but sometimes that fact that English is my 3rd language catches up with me. Please explain.

Besides google-ing - if you can check your website stats to see where hits are coming from, you might find some suprises as well.
What I have found is that folks will nab my paintings and use them on forums as avatars or such things. Usually it is harmless, except they are stealing bandwidth....and if you dont have much it could cost you. I find a lot on MySpace and other casual things. I did have an incident once where hits where coming from a porn forum. I couldnt figure it out without joining, so I let that one go. I figured someone using one of my nudes as an avatar on a site like that is better than registering and asking them to take it down. If there are still links from there next month I may have to though.

No use
My Name is way too common there are at least 20 others named Michael Fournier in just 50 miles of where I live never mind world wide. In Canada and France Fournier is even more common.
After all it originated from the old french term for Baker and every town had a baker or two. So if you google my name without any other keywords to narrrow down the search you find plenty of info on Michael Fournier but almost none of it is about me.
