Thank you, Mischa, Michele and Chris,

Yes, Mischa, Quinee does have quite the personality. Just last weekend she had a dance recital where she spent the entire second half of her routine spying into the audience and waving to everybody. She knows no strangers.

Michele, I'm happy to post a close up. I hope it comes out as well. I'm on a different computer and am not sure if it will affect the color or not.

And, thank you, Chris. I'm glad you like it. It seems to be a bit more of a growth process as I am trying to incoporate more of a natural feel than a photographic feel which is difficult for a resource photo reference. I'm trying to rely on what I learn in life painting sessions.

John!

Fabulous! This can easily be regarded as a finest work as we all are echoing. What a lovely composition and countenance! Keep a series going of your grandchildren!

Garth

Very dynamic use of the canvas! I love the shapes of the negative spaces around her form.

Very nice painting. I really like her eyes - so expressive and well-drawn.

Thank you Linda, Michele, Garth, Alex and Thomasin,

I have one more grandaughter who is asking now for me to paint her.

I mentioned the dance recital last weekend, my youngest granddaughter participated as well. At intermission the girls were brought on stage and asked to tell their name, age and what they wanted to be when they grow up. Keeley (my youngest) gave her name, age and proclaimed she wanted to be a painter when she grows up. I was very moved.

Keeley has such a great face and so expressive when she is acting normal. Its not easy getting that look when you break out the camera. The reference material will be the challenge.

I appreciate the compliments and the encouraging words. They are like manna that falls from the heavens above.
