Portraiture is about people, nothing else intrigue people like other people.
Literature is about people, painted in letters. Music is about people, painted in sound.
We paint in colors, and if we do it well, like you do, It's interesting.

Patty, have you ever seen Rose Franzen's project that involved painting portraits (from life) of many people in her town? She received funding for the project. I realize your goal is different, but you might get some insights by looking at it and reading what she has to say about portraits and people. You can search for Rose on the internet and come up with some interesting information.
