Greetings, Evan,

I had the extreme pleasure of living in Sydney for almost 3 years, and have since returned for visits with fast-made friends in Oz. I joined a plein air painting group to learn my way around the harbour and city, and wound up sufficiently enamored of painting that I went on to get training in the U.S. much like that offered through the Julian Ashton School, which I've visited, though I wasn't able at the time to take classes there. I was so impressed by so much engaging art in Australia, and I traveled to Canberra and Melbourne as well to visit the state and national galleries.

From the samples of your work here and on your site, I predict you will be getting a lot of eager enquiries about your methods and practices. Dig back into some of the threads. There's enough in the archives to keep you reading for many dozens of hours. Go to the main site (www.portraitartist.com) for more news and images of hundreds of exemplary portraits.

Cheers
